Psychology of a Serial Killer

Art and design have the power to stimulate emotion and change. As a designer, I aspire to use my work to impact the world in positive ways and to produce thought-provoking solutions. My work is influenced by clear and thoughtful storytelling, communicating inspiration for the individual. Creativity has always been a part of my life, whether it was on my own terms or for a project. To be a creative of any sort, in my experience, is to construct something you find meaningful. The influence of my work should be clear, but thoughtful, with a message behind the inspiration making it something to interpret differently per person.

This piece itself is an embodiment of multiple interests of mine, whether that be my passion for design or my casual interest in the psyche. While this entire piece has a focus on serial killers, the articles included also have an emphasis on society perceives them as well. It is not to discourage any opinions or perspectives on the killers, but rather to stimulate a more developed opinion. While serial killers are a fascinating topic for a lot of people, most people primarily only see them from the perspective of storytelling or media-promoted perspectives which exaggerate certain factors and omit others. The intent of a magazine is to remain interesting in content as well as visuals so that the reader feels compelled to view the entire work. This piece has a compilation of the overlooked topics and information while also intending to remain visually interesting and appealing for viewers.
